WIP X14 Sci Fi Suit by parrotdolphin WIP X14 Sci Fi Suit by parrotdolphin
This is a conforming outfit I'm working on for Poser figure V4. So far so good. I still have to do some texures and morphs for it and then package it up. I'll make it a freebie when it's all done. The rigging and UV mapping were both huge learning experiences. :)

Tools: Blender, Poser

Well, I always thought Lieutenant Uhura was hot. No, I'm not a lesbian, but I like to look. Maybe that's weird.

Oh, yes, Lieutenant Uhura just oozes sex appeal. Those bedroom eyes! Now she has the body for your space suit!

Same here, I'm not lesbian but I do enjoy the female form. Its such a beautiful thing to look at. Don't mind looking at the blokes either. Captain James T Kirk could have put his slippers under my bed any day.
Me weird too! :alien:

Mmm, Harrison Ford was pretty hot in Star Wars. He's let himself go now.
I dunno, these blokes just don't look after themselves!
I'm trying to think of who is hot now. I liked Brad Pitt with his shirt off in Fight Club. I don't watch much tv or movies, I might be missing out on something nice!!!!!

Fight Club - that's a great movie.
George Clooney is hot now, and forever. :D

I made an eye texure and tried it out on the booby eyes... it looks freaky, which is what I like. :D

I was going to keep quiet about the booby eyes, but now that you mention it.... That's one of the more fascinating features.

The hair reminds me of the bad guy in The Incredibles.

The spots remind me of nodes in a network of some kind, or cell nucei. Either way they suggest the suit isn't just a suit, it's somehow active.

Boobs that stare back at you. It's a freaky idea. If I was really good at this stuff, I could rig them to roll around like real eyes do.

Hey, here's a thought: use Ghost Diagrams to generate a texture to map onto the suit. Bump-map it so the tiles bulge out just a little.

Great minds think alike, as they say... I was playing with those Ghost Diagrams already. I liked the ones that generate small pieces of pattern without ever making it to the full pattern. I saved a bunch of them. I didn't think of the bump map idea though - I like it! I will play some more.

Turns out the bad guy in The Incredibles is Syndrome. Couldn't remember before, was it Scarface? Scumbag?

I like the network idea more and more. Been thinking anyway that multicellular systems (such as you and me) could be modeled as networks, with one "edge" or "arc" representing each cell-to-cell or cell-to-medium interface. Future robots may be networks of general components that figure out where they are in the network and behave accordingly (not my idea). The "Ghost Diagrams" concept comes up again. So the suit is a wearable network/robot, self-configuring, with its own agenda, but subordinate to the wearer....

A neural network? Vein patterns??

More like a neural network, as I imagine it, for the robot. It might be fractal -- each node in the network is itself a network....

I got off the pattern idea and stuck with simpler textures. It was looking way too busy with the patterns.

Yeah, she has some eyes in the back too. Well, actually I didn't think of them as eyes, but I really like the idea, hmmm... thanks!! :)

Well, do tell. I am trying to come up with a good "SciFi" looking texture for it and it's not that easy. The more ideas I have, the better.

Portholes.. I need to think about that. Someone said they were eyes. I think some are pleasure buttons too. But the porthole idea is interesting too. The Pubic Porthole
